App: Activate Search

Spotler Activate Search (previously Sooqr) optimizes your site-search. They do this by offering the best results your customer is looking for, adding promotional banners, analyzing the search results and helping with synonyms for search queries that have little to no results. Now you can personalise the search even more with the combined power of Spotler Activate Search and Spotler Activate. 

Activate the Spotler Activate Search app

In Apps you will find the Activate Search app. Click on the activate button.

If you are already have a Activate Search account, you can also click on the activate button, no additional charges will be applied. After the pop-up you will be able to connect your existing account.

Add your SearchID in the next screen and we’ll make the connection to the Search platform.

A few things you can check in your current account:

  • Are the categories uploaded in Spotler Activate the same as in Spotler Activate Search? To match the favourite category (and brand) to the products this is important.
  • Do you have productfields that are good to save as customer favourite? See manual below.

Add favourite products to show in search results

When connecting Spotler Activate to Spotler Activate Search, the combination of website behaviour is added to the already customized results of your search bar. Based on the Spotler Activate cookie Spotler Activate Search can get the favourites of the customer and add this to their search results. Spotler Activate adds favourite categories, brands, color and size to the profiles by default, but you have the possibility to have more productfields added as a customer favourite.

To do this, go to Products > Source in Spotler Activate and click on “New product custom field” at the bottom right.

Give your field a name and type and check the “Save customer favourites”. From now on Spotler Activate will look at all the viewed and purchased products and save the value which is most common for this customer in the favourite field.

Based on results of other customers, we found that for the best uplift in conversion based on search, it is best to have a minimum of 3-5 additional favourite fields in your products. Look at the product attributes which tell the most about your customers to determine which could be saved as a favourite.
