Spotler Activate Lifecycles give you the means to organize, coordinate, and visualize all the marketing touch points. Lifecycles use stages to sequence each potential interaction across channels. Lifecycles consists of audiences created within the Spotler Activate platform. With the Premium App, there is no limit to the number of criteria you can use to define a stage or lifecycle.
In summary, this means that through Lifecycles, you are able to:
- Set up multiple Stages next to eachother to create a Lifecycle
- Set up Stage rules (based on if a profile is present in one or more audiences)
- Get insights on how profiles move move into and in between stages
And based on these insights, you can:
- Set up specific customer journeys based on stages to improve KPI’s
- Set up specific personalizations targeted on stages to improve KPI’s

View a Lifecycle
In the Lifecycles Overview, you can view a Lifecycle by hovering over the three bullets, and selecting View.
Once you’re in the View mode of a Lifecycle, you can check how profiles move into and in between stages:

- The amount of Total Lifecycle Entries

With this these insights, you can create Journeys, and Personalizations to improve on your KPI’s.
For example:
- You have set up a Customer acquisition Lifecycle with a goal of getting a customer to make their first purchase
- You see a lot of profiles dropping from a stage where you include profiles who’ve added a product to the cart
- You build a journey where you filter on that Stage, and set up actions accordingly
- You target a specific Stage in personalization
Edit a Lifecycle
In the Lifecycles Overview, you can Edit a Lifecycle by hovering over the three bullets, and selecting Edit.
The Lifecycle Edit mode
Once you’re in the Edit mode of a Lifecycle, you can edit your Lifecycle stages:
From here, you’re able to:
- View all Stages in the Lifecycle
- Add an additional Stage in the Lifecycle
- Open the Stage “Edit” mode

Clicking on a stage will open the Stage “Edit” mode, which shows the settings associated with that stage:
From here, you’re able to:
- Edit the Stage Name
- Include Audiences in the Stage
- Export the Stage as email lists to channels
- Delete the Stage
Create a New Lifecycle
In the Lifecycles Overview, you can create a New Lifecycle by clicking on the following button:
Adding the first stage
In the Lifecycle “Edit” mode you’ll be immediately prompted to add your first Stage by filling in;
- Name: What name you would like to give a Stage, it could be matching that of the included audience, or just something totally different.
- Included Audiences: The audiences which should be included in this Stage.
Adding an additional Stage
A minimum of two stages is required for a Lifecycle. You can set up an additional stage by clicking the “+” button next to a stage:
Saving a Lifecycle
Once you have set the stages of your lifecycle, you can edit the name of your Lifecycle, and save it:

Pre-defined Customer Phases Lifecycle
By default, all merchants get access to a pre-defined system Lifecycle:
This Lifecycle uses stages that are based on the Spotler Activate Intelligent Audiences:
- Orientation Phase
- Comparison Phase
- Decision Phase
- Purchase (7 Days)
Note: This is a system Lifecycle, edit options are restricted.
