Release overview

Release item Category What changed? Why is this important?
Historical retention statistics Improvement Historical statistics collected from this release onward remain available after the underlying events are removed by retention settings. Retention charts continue to show previously recorded activity after old event data is deleted.
User behaviour product set warning Improvement A warning is shown when an existing user behaviour product set is edited. Users are informed that saving changed criteria clears the existing results and causes the product set to be rebuilt.
Mailchimp error messages Improvement 360 Profiles now shows more specific reasons when Mailchimp cannot process a profile. Users can identify issues such as a missing email address or missing consent more easily.
Product NPS question Improvement The appearance of the question used to collect product feedback has changed. Users may see a different version of the NPS question.
Data, personalization, and messaging fixes Bug fixes Issues affecting event fields, backend events, personalization statistics, currency values, and Spotler Message statuses have been resolved. Data is processed and displayed more consistently across these areas.

Highlighted changes

Historical retention statistics remain available

What changed: Spotler Activate now stores historical statistics separately from the underlying event data. When retention settings remove older events, the statistics that have already been recorded remain available under Data > Retention.

This improvement applies to statistics collected from version 6.6.0 onward. Statistics for events that were already removed before this release cannot be restored.

Who is this relevant for: This change is relevant for users who configure retention periods and use the retention charts to compare historical event or session totals.

Why is this important: Previously, removing events through a retention setting also changed the historical statistics. This made it difficult to see how many events or sessions had originally been recorded. The retained statistics now provide a more consistent historical view, even after the related event data has been deleted.

Action: No action required. Spotler Activate starts preserving these statistics automatically from this release onward.

Warning when editing user behaviour product sets

What changed: Spotler Activate now shows a warning when an existing user behaviour product set is edited. The warning explains that saving any change to the product set clears its current results.

User behaviour product sets are generated from selected events and criteria. When these settings change, the previous results no longer match the updated definition. Spotler Activate therefore clears the existing results and rebuilds the product set using the new criteria.

Who is this relevant for: This change is relevant for users who manage product sets based on user behaviour and edit their event selection or other criteria.

Why is this important: The warning makes the effect of saving an edit clear before the change is applied. Users can take the temporary clearing and rebuilding of the product set into account when making changes.

Action: No action required. Review the warning before saving changes to an existing user behaviour product set.

Other improvements

  • Mailchimp error messages
360 Profiles now shows more specific Mailchimp processing messages instead of only a general disqualification message. These messages can indicate, for example, that an email address or consent is missing.
  • Product NPS question
The appearance of the question used to collect product feedback has changed. Users may therefore see a different version of the NPS question.

Bug fixes

  • Event fields
Differences in uppercase and lowercase characters no longer cause valid event fields to be ignored.
  • Backend events
Events submitted only through the backend now load correctly in Data > Events.
  • Personalization statistics
The columns in the personalization statistics overview are aligned correctly.
  • Spotler Message
An SMS message accepted by Spotler Message is no longer incorrectly marked as failed.
  • Currency values
Currency values submitted through an API or feed are now evaluated according to the documented format.
