Connector: Webpower (now Spotler MailPro)

The Webpower connector allows you to synchronize data between Spotler Activate and the Email Service Provider (ESP) Spotler MailPro. Through the connector audiences, profiles, and triggers from Spotler Activate can be sent to Webpower.

By completing the full implementation, all email addresses and consent are synchronized between Webpower to Spotler Activate one time per day. In addition, profile fields from Spotler Activate are synchronized to Webpower. After the link is established, the following data is synchronized:

  • Email addresses: new email addresses are synchronized from Spotler Activate to Webpower in real time
  • Consent: changes to consent are synchronized in real time from Spotler Activate to Webpower.
  • Profile Fields: with each API call, profile fields are sent from Spotler Activate and stored in Webpower.

Activate the Spotler MailPro connector

Login to Webpower and select the Campaign you want to connect to your Spotler Activate account. In Webpower, go to 'Admin ' Rest Authorization ' Add'. Enter the name of the Campaign. Enter the redirect URL (the url of your Webpower account, for example https://Spotler Activate.webpower.eu). Click on "Ok". The Client ID and Client Secret have now been created.:

Next, the following must be implemented in Spotler Activate. Go to Apps and click on the Webpower Connector. Copy the values 'Client id' and 'Client secret' from Webpower and paste them in Spotler Activate. Next, you can select the Campaign in Webpower you want to synchronize data to.

Synchronizing profiles

For real-time synchronization of (new) profiles from Spotler Activate to Webpower, the following is required:

Create an Advanced Audience with the following rules:

(New) profiles that leave their email address will be synced to Webpower in real time.

Synchronize Consent

For real-time synchronization of consent from Spotler Activate to Webpower, the following is required. Create an Advanced audience with the following rules:

Go to Apps and select the Webpower connector. Select the appropriate Audience with Newsletterconsent, under Consent group mapping.

The profiles with email address and newsletterconsent will be synchronized to Webpower. For synchronizing service consent, the above can be repeated with permission = Email - service messages.

When you are using a confirmation on the email address, before getting the optin, you can use the “Confirmed (double) optin” method in the channel settings.

When Spotler Activate gets an optin, for example by a personalization, a ‘Subscribe’ API-call is send to Webpower. Webpower will automatically trigger the confirmation mail (subscribe_confirm) to the contact and will handle the follow-up. There is no extra journey in Spotler Activate needed to trigger this email.

Field mapping

For real-time synchronization of Profile Fields from Spotler Activate to Webpower, the following is required: go to Apps and click on the Webpower app. From the dropdown select the Webpower field that corresponds to the Spotler Activate field, for example firstname = first name. If there is no Webpower field that corresponds to a Spotler Activate field, you can create one in Webpower under Administration → Campaign → Database Fields.

Audiences & Profiles

In the Audience Builder you can send audiences to Webpower by checking Webpower as Channel:

For the profiles in the audience, Spotler Activate sends two API calls to Webpower:

  • Contacts: this API call sends the profile's fields to Webpower and stores them in Webpower Before saving custom profile fields, they need to be mapped.
  • Contact Groups: with this API call the audiences are sent to Webpower.

Triggers & Productsets

In the Journey Builder you can send triggers to Webpower with the Email trigger. In the Email trigger you can set the following:

  • Trigger: the campaign to be triggered in Webpower
  • Products: the product set that will be sent along with the trigger
  • The campaign is only visible in the Journey Builder when it is published in Webpower.
  • For the standard product sets from Spotler Activate, the language of the account is leading for the language of the product set in Webpower
  • Do you receive the message 'an error occurred' when sending a trigger? Check whether you have enough credits in your Webpower account to send an email.

For those profiles that reach the Email trigger and meet the requirements, Spotler Activate sends an API Call to Webpower:

  • Spotler Activate Trigger: this API call sends a trigger for the profile and includes products from the product set if a product set has been selected.
